Designing smart chemical sensors and affordable diagnostics — from imprinted materials to wearable devices — for healthcare, environment, and industry.

The Lab

Sensors & Diagnostics Lab

Housed within the School of Chemistry at the University of the Punjab, the Sensors & Diagnostics Lab is dedicated to advancing smart chemical sensors and affordable biomedical diagnostics. Our team investigates analyte behaviour in solutions and complex mixtures, and their interactions with synthetic receptor materials and devices.

We specialise in the design and synthesis of imprinted and functional materials, device fabrication, and (bio)sensing technologies — from detecting hazardous chemicals to identifying molecular biomarkers for disease in biological fluids.
